Fratelli Dal Cero, Corte Giacobbe

This dynamic family business is run by four siblings. From modest and hard-won roots, Dal Cero has become one of the most successful high quality producers of Soave. (They have since established renowned estates in Valpolicella and Tuscany, too.)

Their vineyards are situated on the steep ridge of the Roncà valley, close to the town of Soave. At 450 m, this is one of the highest parts of Soave, and is sandwiched between Monti Calvarina and Crocetta (both extinct volcanoes).

Davide Dal Cero directs vineyard management and wine making in Soave. Sister Francesca, is export manager. (Of the other brothers, Alberto looks after the family vineyards in Tuscany, and Nico is the commercial director for Italy.)

They ferment – using free run juice only -  in large old oak. Their wine style is sumptuous, textural, and with plenty of freshness and notable intensity.
