Brothers Sandro and Claudio have some of the deepest roots – and oldest vines – in Soave. Their estate of 50 hectares produces Soave of exquisite poise, intensity and aromatic nuance. Sandro and Claudio’s ancestors have cultivated vineyards in the eastern Monteforte zone of Soave since the 1600s. (around the very pictaresque town of Monteforte d’Alpone). They are proud of their heritage, but humble in their vocation to terroir and patrimony. Their father, Olinto, was a renowned vigneron and vine-grower.
Despite the tradition and history of this estate, the Ginis are brave and thoughtful innovators. Their vineyards were one of the first to be certified organic, and since 1985 they have been sulphite-free in winemaking. They have some of the oldest vineyards in Soave, including one small plot of very old ungrafted vines.
They wines are imported in the UK by Justerini and Brooks, and listed in top restaurants and wine boutiques in the UK. They age superbly.
